New Mayor, deputy mayor and leader appointed

At our annual general meeting, members elected a new Mayor, deputy mayor and leader.

The appointments are:

Mayor: Councillor Andrea Graham

Deputy mayor: Councillor Michelle Merrin

Leader: Councillor Nick Allan

The leader confirmed at the meeting the following cabinet appointments, with their portfolios:

Deputy leader (and children's services): Councillor Fiona Pearce

Adult social care: Councillor Col Daughtry

Sport and culture: Councillor Michael Robinson

Housing: Councillor Gavin Brierley

Environment: Councillor Garry Thompson

Roads and traffic: Councillor Graham Keating

Economic development: Councillor Steve Campion

Public health and community safety: Councillor Sandra Pickering
