Inclusive cycling is coming to Gateshead
Working with Get Cycling, the council will be trialling a range of cycles available for people with disabilities and health conditions. This will include a wheelchair platform bike, trikes and hand cycles to assist in building confidence and independence in cycling.
Whether you have a disability, health condition, limited mobility, use a wheelchair or just lacking confidence on a 2-wheel bike, there is a session for you.
Join us at Gateshead Leisure Centre:
- adults and older children: every Friday starting 8 May, between 10 and 2pm
- family session (younger children, parents and carers): Friday 29 May, between 10 am and 2pm
All sessions are free between Friday 8 May and Friday 24 July. Following this, sessions will require a small fee.
We will value your feedback from these sessions to help inform the long-term Inclusive Cycling programme in Gateshead.
For more information, contact [email protected] or Gateshead Leisure Centre on 0191 250 5066.
