Emma Hall - Requesting volunteers and donations to improve facilities
Emma Hall Management Committee are a charity who manage and develop Emma Hall for the benefit of the local community and provide facilities for meetings or activities for local community groups.
Volunteers
- help to paint the hall
- assist with preserving the original Ryton District Council logo on the wall above the stage
- adjust several internal doors that stick and folding doors in the side hall
- adjust or replace back fire door (difficult to close)
- stop intermittent leak from toilet cistern in Ladies and replace radiator valves
- clear overgrown area for car park (subject to planning permission)
- assist with facilitating events in the hall (opening, closing, tidying up, etc.)
Donations
- replacement front railings - quoted at £7,000
- refurbishment of toilets - estimated around £20,000
- treatment and replastering of damp in the halls
- new roller shutter for the front door
- recover remaining section of flat roof at rear of hall - estimated £6,000
- wooden tables for dressing rooms behind the stage
- flooring replacement in kitchen area
- tarmac for car park (subject to planning permission)
- main hall lighting upgrade to LED units (estimate awaited)
- replacement plaque heater in main hall - estimated £5,000
- female toilets repainting
- new paper towel holder in female toilets
