Emma Hall - Requesting volunteers and donations to improve facilities

Emma Hall Management Committee are a charity who manage and develop Emma Hall for the benefit of the local community and provide facilities for meetings or activities for local community groups.

Volunteers

• help to paint the hall
• assist with preserving the original Ryton District Council logo on the wall above the stage
• adjust several internal doors that stick and folding doors in the side hall
• adjust or replace back fire door (difficult to close)
• stop intermittent leak from toilet cistern in Ladies and replace radiator valves
• clear overgrown area for car park (subject to planning permission)
• assist with facilitating events in the hall (opening, closing, tidying up, etc.)

Donations

• replacement front railings - quoted at £7,000
• refurbishment of toilets - estimated around £20,000
• treatment and replastering of damp in the halls
• new roller shutter for the front door
• recover remaining section of flat roof at rear of hall - estimated £6,000
• wooden tables for dressing rooms behind the stage
• flooring replacement in kitchen area
• tarmac for car park (subject to planning permission)
• main hall lighting upgrade to LED units (estimate awaited)
• replacement plaque heater in main hall - estimated £5,000
• female toilets repainting
• new paper towel holder in female toilets
