Birtley Community Centre Wellbeing and Community Garden - Requesting help from volunteers

Birtley Community Centre's Wellbeing and Community Garden is seeking volunteer support for two tasks to help improve the space for community use;

Grass Strimming (Autumn)

They are looking for a volunteer to assist with strimming the grass around the garden area once the growth slows down in autumn. Volunteers will need to bring their own equipment for this task.

Ground Levelling for Turfing (Preparation for Early Next Year)

They also require support from a volunteer with access to a small digger to help level a designated area. This will prepare the ground for turfing in early 2026, creating a dedicated wellbeing and community space. Again, volunteers will need to provide their own equipment.
