Letter to residents: Gateshead flyover demolition - update on car parking at Peareth Court

Date: 16 June 2026

Dear resident

I would like to inform you that, as part of the upcoming flyover demolition works, access to Peareth Court car park will need to be temporarily restricted. This is to provide access for demolition contractors to access the grassed area between the buildings and install a protective screen to safeguard the properties from potential debris while demolition work is ongoing.

Peareth Court car park will therefore be closed from Monday 22 June 2026 to Friday 14 August 2026. Please ensure that all vehicles are removed from the car park by Sunday 21 June 2026.

During this period, residents are requested to use the alternative car park at Priory Court. We are currently working on measures to install lockable bollards in this car park with keys issued to residents only.

All our news updates on the flyover demolition project can be found at Gateshead Highway (A167) flyover.
