Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition is a unique learning environment where they focus on building confidence and self esteem, as well as improving academic ability.

Their small group approach (up to 3-4 children per group) allows for children to flourish within Maths, English and Science as all learning is taught in a way that is right for the learner, aiming to bridge gaps and ensure each child leaves their education experience with a stronger self of themselves and confidence.

All learning is tailored to the individual and taught in a way that is right for them, to ensure good progress is made across the subjects and delivered in a fun and engaging way.

Suitable ages ranges 

Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition accepts children aged 4 to 16 years old. 

Qualifications available

Children can learn in Maths, English and Science from Reception up to GCSE's (aiming to get their exam qualifications by the end of Y11).

About the teaching

All training is carried out at Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition in Low Fell, Gateshead. 

Students can attend from locations across Gateshead. 

Teaching is delivered typically with a ratio of 1 teacher to 4 students. 

The provision is open from 9am to 4pm. Students can attend upto 10 hours per week. 

Transport is not provided. 

They are able to provide urgent placements. 

The length of programme can be adapted to what is required for each student.

How to apply for a place for a student

You can make initial contact by email or phone and then arrange an inital visit. 

Contact with schools 

Once a student has began their training, emails will be sent on a daily basis to confirm attendance/non-attendance. 

They will also provide reports every half term or when requested from school. Termly reports are provided for families and school.

Insurance 

Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition have current public liability cover and insurance certificates are displayed. 

They also have current employee liability cover. 

Safeguarding 

Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition have a compliant safeguarding policy in place which is reviewed yearly. 

Pre-employment checks are carried out in line with guidance. 

The provision has a designated safeguarding lead and there is regular training for all staff at the provision. 

Health and safety 

Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition have a health and safety policy in place with a designated member of staff trained to Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) standard. 

They have full risk assessment for the premises and carry out regular fire drills which are recorded. 

They have all required first aid equipment in place in line with RIDDOR procedures (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013). 

Data protection

Kelly's Heroes Private Tuition have a data retention policy in place which is reviewed regularly. Staff also receive regular training. 

They have a privacy notice in place that explains how they collect, use and protect people's personal data.
