Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5

Requirements 

• apprentices are required to achieve Level 2 Maths and English qualification or GCSEs C/4 or above to complete their apprenticeship, if they do not already hold suitable equivalent qualifications
• working with age group 0-5 years old
• 15 months on programme and 3-month window for End Point Assessment
• minimum of 3 formal observations of practice captured while on programme
• 24 months on programme and 3-month window for End Point Assessment
• 'off the job' training must be provided (466 hours)
• support from an employment mentor with monthly reviews

Assessment methods 

• monthly taught session at Gateshead Interchange or online available

• online learning via Google Classroom

• reflective assignments with product evidence relevant to planning, teaching, assessment

• professional discussions

End point assessment 

End Point Assessment will take place in the final 3 months, dependant on learner progress. End Point Assessment will consist of:

• Professional Discussion underpinned by portfolio of evidence.
• Observation of practice, followed by Q&A.
