Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship

Requirements
Level 2 Maths and English mandatory for 16-18 years and the employer's discretion for learners aged 19+
a minimum of 30 hours working week, working within an adult social care setting
15 months on programme and 3-month window for End Point Assessment. Must be employed for 18 months
completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care
'off the job' training must be provided, a minimum of 6 hours a week (350 for a 15-month apprenticeship)
support from an employment mentor with monthly reviews every 4 weeks
What you'll do at work
A lead adult care worker must know and demonstrate:
- The main tasks and responsibilities according to their job role
- How to treat people with respect and dignity and honour their human rights
- How to Communicate clearly and responsibly
- How to support individuals to remain safe from harm (Safeguarding)
- How to champion health and wellbeing for the individuals they support and work colleagues
- How to work professionally, including their own professional development of those they support and work colleagues
Assessment methods
workplace and remote tutor meetings
independent research and written answers
reflective accounts
professional discussion
observations in the workplace
witness testimonies completed by mentor and service users
End point assessment
End Point Assessment will take place in the final 3 months, dependant on learner progress. End Point Assessment will consist of:
- Professional Discussion underpinned by portfolio of evidence.
- Knowledge Test (situational judgement test answered through a multiple-choice exercise)
