Riverside Routes: Staiths Art Club - Blobby Sculptures with Paul Raymond
We've added some extra dates to our popular art club at Staiths Cafe! Each session you'll take part in a new activity from wreaths to textiles, printing to sculpture!
Join Gateshead artist Paul Raymond to create your very own monstrous version of Mr Blobby. In this workshop you'll step straight back into a the 90s. Prepare for a nightmarish reimagining of Crinkley Bottom, complete with everyone's favourite pink and yellow spotty pal, Blobby.
Paul will show you how to use casting and hand modelling techniques to create a unique Plasticine version of Blobby. He will guide you through a variety of processes - showing you tips and tricks and encouraging surreal outcomes through playful approaches to sculpture.
No experience necessary. Adults only.
