Learning objectives

By the end of the session delegates will:

• gain an understanding of why adults use drugs/alcohol
• be able to identify certain drugs and their effects
• recognise potential signs or symptoms of adults using substances and be able to sign post them to access support where appropriate
• what to do in an overdose situation

• any staff who work with adults or who would like to raise their awareness about drugs and alcohol
