Polling District Review 2025
Review of polling districts and polling places
Following last year's statutory review, this comprehensive review reflects all changes to local government ward boundaries that will apply for the May 2026 local elections. These boundary changes were developed by the Local Government Boundary Commission (LGBCE) after undertaking a public consultation.
The purpose of this review is to ensure that Parliamentary polling districts, polling places, and polling stations continue to meet voters' needs and offer appropriate accessibility for all.
The review assessed whether the polling district boundaries were appropriate and whether the polling stations were suitable for use. Through comprehensive consultation with all stakeholders, issues with previous arrangements were highlighted, and practical, preferable alternatives were identified where required.
As a Council we want to make it as easy as possible for our residents to vote at elections. The next review of polling districts and polling places will take place in 2029.
