Wood Green Communal Lounge

You can expect to be made welcome by staff and volunteers at our Warm Welcome Space.

There's tea, coffee, cordial and biscuits available daily. Phone and laptop charging available. You can watch TV or listen to the radio, play pool, read and generally socialise with others. 

Our communal lounge is warm, safe and friendly, where people can come together in a non-judgemental environment. We can offer a signposting service relating to all services provided by Gateshead Council and partner agencies. 

We have exercise/games sessions on a Tuesday, between 2.30 and 3.30pm. 

We have a bingo session on Monday and Wednesday nights, between 5.30 and 7.30pm.

We are currently in the process of registering as a volunteer hub, so you can become a regular volunteer at Wood Green if you choose. This could be for activities within the communal lounge and also our surrounding garden areas, which include hens.

Our Warm Welcome Space is free, but donations are welcome and will be used to replenish stock for future use.

The Communal Lounge is on bus route 27.
