John's story
When he first got in touch, John was looking for a job working in the outdoors. When an opportunity came up for him to work in the flytipping team at the council, we supported him at his interview and his first shift to make sure he got settled in well.
Since then, it's been really lovely to see his confidence grow since he started work.
Speaking about his job, John said:
"The best thing I enjoy about my job is working as part of the team and helping to make the streets clean and safe. Having a job has made me feel more confident, and it's given me pride in where I live. It's also given me motivation to look for full-time employment."
John's colleague Bill added:
"John joined the team in January and he's been a tremendous help. My favourite thing about working with John is he listens and takes note of everything."
