Our supported employment service, Gateshead Access to Employment Service (GATES), supports people with learning disabilities or who are neurodivergent to find careers where they thrive. Our service is award-winning and free to use.
We now support nearly 60 people in careers they love. We work with clients who are looking for part-time or full-time roles, in all areas of work. Could you be one of them?

help to find short-term work placements that can improve your employability
support to travel in your local community for work
coaching when you start a new job
regular reviews with you and your employer to ensure your job is going well and provide advice on any queries
support with requesting reasonable adjustments from employers
advice on your career development and progression
