0:15
For this, you would need a new toilet seat, wipes or cleaning product, a spanner, and a pair of pliers.

0:24
To remove the old toilet seat, you must loosen the bolt on the back underneath.

0:30
If the bolts are a bit stiff, you can use a spanner or a pair of pliers to loosen them up.

0:36
Once the last bolt is removed, you can lift off the toilet seat and place it on the floor.

0:43
Give the toilet pan a wipe down before you fit the new seat.

0:48
Start by lining your toilet seat up on the toilet using the fixing holes on the back.

0:55
For each side you would fit a bolt and a nut.

0:58
The bolt goes to the top and the nut will tighten underneath from the bottom.

1:04
Drop the bolt through the hole and pan.

1:06
Locate the bottom of it with the knot underneath and tighten with your hands.

1:11
Repeat the process on the other side.

1:14
Check your toilet is lined up and tight.

1:17
Close the brackets on the back.

1:20
