In this video, we'll be showing you how to repair a gate catch.

For this, you will need an existing or replacement gate catch, replacement screws, screwdriver, a pair of gloves.

A gate catch can fall off for a number of reasons.

If the catch is snapped you will need a replacement.

It is better to replace the screws if possible rather than using the existing ones.

Align the catch with the old holes.

Screw in the replacement screws with the screwdriver.

Check that the catch is tight onto the post before testing the gate.

Make sure the catch works.

To make sure your gate remains in good working order, use an anti-corrosion lubricant such as WD40 regularly.
