Starting our co-production journey in Gateshead

We're at the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Gateshead. Our vision for Integrated Adult and Social Care Services is simple: to help people live thriving, independent lives with access to personalised, high-quality support when they need it.

But you know we can't do this alone.

That's why we've developed the Gateshead Co-production Framework - a practical guide to help us work with residents, carers and community organisations to shape better services together.

This is about listening, learning and building equal partnerships with the people who know our services best.

Co-production means working together as equals.

It's about recognising that people who use services are experts in their own lives. By sharing power and listening properly, we can design services that are more effective, inclusive, and responsive.
