Apprenticeships (up to and including Level 3)
Rate for first year of Apprenticeship:
- £8.00 per hour irrespective of age
From second year of Apprenticeship:
Non-Craft Apprentices:
- Aged 17: £8.00 per hour wef 1 April 2026
- Aged 18-20: £10.85 per hour wef 1 April 2026
- Aged 21 and over: £12.71 per hour wef 1 April 2026
Craft Apprentices are paid the rate linked to the respective craft rate as set out in Joint Negotiating Committee for Local Authority Craft and Associated Employees, Red Book.
