Events in Saltwell Park

Saltwell Park has always been a place in the heart of the community and regularly hosts events. From flower and veg shows; music days in the summer through to annual much-loved events such as Enchanted Parks, Bonfire Night and our summer Sculpture Day.

Gateshead Parkrun
Every Saturday, 9am
Free

Part of the UK-wide Parkrun initiative, this 5km run takes place every Saturday. The race starts by the South Pavilion shelter at the top of the Northern Field. Registration required: Parkrun website (opens new window)
 

Saltwell Park Free Health Walks
Every Tuesday, 11am
Free

The Friends of Saltwell Park hold free Health Walks in the Park. Meet outside the north door of the Towers beside the way marked routes board.
