Saltwell Towers
Saltwell Towers, built in 1862 by renowned stained glass manufacturer William Wailes, lies in the heart of Saltwell Park.
This superb Gothic mansion is surrounded by ornamental gardens and has been sympathetically restored to its former Victorian glory to provide a well-equipped visitor centre and tea room.
An eclectic mix of Gothic, Elizabethan and French styles, the towers' new contemporary interior boasts regular art exhibits and information about the history of the park. It also celebrates the history of glass art with an extravagant two-story centrepiece screen designed by local glass artist Bridget Jones.
