Saltwell Towers

Built in 1859 at the height of Britain's Gothic revival, Saltwell Towers is the astonishingly beautiful former home of the distinguished stained glass manufacturer William Wailes. Now, this fairytale mansion at the heart of Gateshead's finest Victorian park provides the ideal setting for your very special day.

A five-year refurbishment programme has carefully transformed Saltwell Towers into one of the finest wedding venues in the North. Surrounded by mature woodland and set in attractive formal gardens, it offers wedding photographers a huge range of eye-catching settings to help them produce the most beautiful wedding photographs imaginable.

Inside, Saltwell Towers' contemporary interior offers a range of elegant spaces for formal and informal events, with easy access to a sun terrace overlooking the surrounding parkland and gardens.

There is abundant parking close by, and a magnificent, wooded driveway down which the happy couple can take leave of their guests after their reception.

Saltwell Towers is less than three miles from the centre of Gateshead yet is so secluded you would be forgiven for thinking you were in the middle of the countryside.
