Reduction in the Gateshead Fund

We propose to reduce the financial contribution relating to the Gateshead Fund.

The proposal is to reduce the Gateshead Fund from £300,000 to £200,000.

The fund is currently split between the main grants programme available to community and voluntary organisations and the Local Community Fund.

This reduction in the Gateshead Fund could impact on the Council's aspiration to help build capacity and sustainability within the community and voluntary sector, reducing its ability to support the Council's Thrive agenda and help reduce demand for services.
