To keep Thornley Woodlands Centre and café open. That the council will allow a new proprietor who is already waiting, to take over the cafe and continue offering a place for families, school parties, nature lovers, dog walkers amateur photographers. Where tourists to the area can obtain information on what is on offer throughout the local and wider community.
The centre also provides public toilet facilities, information/ leaflets and the only place where keys for the 6 bird hides in Gateshead's rural countryside can be purchased.
