You can submit a complaint about the way Gateshead Council has handled your personal data, or the personal data of someone you are acting on behalf of, by completing our data protection complaints form.

Reasons you may wish to submit a complaint could involve: 

• a personal data breach
• inaccurate personal data is held in council records
• your request of rectification or deletion of data has been refused
• your personal data has been collected for one purpose and is being used for something else
• your personal data is being kept for longer than necessary
• your data protection rights have not been upheld
