The Gateshead Compact 2024 to 2027
Introduction
The Gateshead Compact is a framework for the relationship between Gateshead's voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) and a range of public-sector partners. It aims to help further develop and improve relationships between the VCSE and public-sector partners. It underpins the ongoing informal and formal partnership working in Gateshead.
Public and VCSE sector partners are subject to statutory regulation. This compact agreement supplements the statutory framework with locally agreed good practice.
The compact helps the council, NHS, and other partners work better with the VCSE sector. It aims to strengthen the sector, improve communication and accountability, and maximise our shared resources to deliver better services and outcomes for Gateshead communities.
