Description

Notice is hereby given that on 18 June 2025 the Council made The Borough Council of Gateshead (Lambton Street and Nelson Street) (Movement Restrictions) Experimental Traffic Regulation Order 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce movement restrictions on Lambton Street and Nelson Street as set out in the Schedules to the Order.

The Order will come into operation on 30 June 2025 on an experimental basis and it will remain in force for up to 18 months.

The Notice of Making, Order, Plan and Statement of Reasons can be found below.

The Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of such a permanent Order within a period of six months from 30 June 2025, stating the grounds for the objection in writing to the Strategic Director of Corporate Services and Governance as set out in the Notice.
