How to apply

We have a clear and supportive application process in place for prospective carers to ensure you can best meet someone's needs and to match you with the right person. 

The first step is to have an informal chat with a member of our Shared Lives team. You can register your interest by completing our online enquiry form or call us on 0191 433 2461.  

We'll then help you submit an application to become a Shared Lives carer.  

After your application has been accepted, you'll be supported through an assessment involving a series of home visits and discussions with an independent panel.
