We're seeking passionate, effective and ambitious individuals to join our regeneration service and help deliver Gateshead Thriving - our dynamic regeneration programme transforming places, empowering communities and shaping a confident, future-ready borough.
There are roles in the regeneration delivery team and the programme management office providing assurance and controls.
Team working
- You'll be joining a dynamic, can-do team driven by a shared ambition to transform Gateshead. Collaborative and supportive, the team brings together a mix of expertise - including regeneration, development, property, economic development, programme management - working at pace to deliver real change.
- It's a team that's passionate about place, proud of Gateshead and committed to making a meaningful difference.
- You'll be encouraged to bring fresh ideas, challenge thinking and play an active role in shaping projects that benefit our communities - working together to turn bold plans into reality.
You will also be working with:
- the North East Mayor's team and Homes England (the Government's regeneration agency)
- some of the largest developers in the country, investors, architects and agents wanting to build and invest in Gateshead
Our projects
We're reimagining Gateshead on every level, right across the borough - transforming the Town Centre and Quays, supporting the Railway Quarter, and the landmark restoration of the Old Town Hall.
- The Baltic Quarter and Gateshead Quays will become vibrant, sustainable destinations for businesses, residents and visitors alike.
- After the flyover is demolished, new homes of all types and tenures will form a new neighbourhood.
- Along the River Tyne, the ambitious Metro Riverside project will unlock 500 acres of brownfield land to create a thriving new community around the Metrocentre.
- The Tyne Derwent Way celebrates Gateshead's rich wildlife, culture and heritage - opening up green spaces and encouraging healthier lifestyles.
- Across our neighbourhoods, ambitious housing developments are revitalising communities and creating places people are proud to call home.
