February half term at Gibside
This February half term discover nature on a fun, family adventure. Each day you can follow a self‑led trail with activity stations to enjoy along the way.
Get muddy hands planting a snowdrop carpet with the gardeners (17, 19, 25, 27 February) and stumble upon a cosy story-telling corner in the Forest Room, where children's author Stacy Bone will be dressed as a snail reading her book, 'The Wonderful Woodlouse' (20 and 27 February). Stacy will also be hosting creepy-crawly crafts, making insect‑themed wands and gentle bug yoga sessions too.
Along the explorer trail get to work with den building and zoom across the zip wire at Red Kite play area. Round off your adventure by popping into the second-hand bookshop to Celebrate World Book Day and grabbing a kid's meal at the café.
Suitable for all ages. Aimed at younger children but teens and adults will enjoy a day at Gibside!
The event is free but admission to Gibside applies.
