8. Follow-up work
Where asbestos is positively identified and removal, sealing or encapsulation is recommended by the competent person, this will be carried out as follows:
- Non-licensed works (as defined in Regulation 2 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR 2012) (opens new window)) - will be undertaken by a Licensed Asbestos Removal Contractor (LARC) licensed by the Health and Safety Executive in compliance with CAR 2012.
- Notifiable non-licensed works (as defined in regulation 2 of the CAR 2012) - will be undertaken by a LARC.
- Licensed works (as defined in regulation 2 of CAR 2012) - will be undertaken by a LARC.
