Council Tax e-billing

You can get your Council Tax bill by email instead of through the post. We call this e-billing.

Instead of receiving a paper bill in the post, you will get an email with a PDF attachment of your Council Tax document.

Opting to view your documents online is quick, safe and secure and means you can see them as soon as they are available.

Once you have signed up, you will be sent an email every time a new document is produced for you. This is password protected.

If you request a copy of the bill during the sign up this will be emailed to you within 2 working days.

Your e-billing password

Your password is the last three characters of your postal address postcode, and it must be entered in upper case.

For example, if your postcode is NE8 1HH, the password will be 1HH.

If we hold a different address as a postal address, the password will be the last three characters of the postcode of that address.

For example, if the postcode is CR3 1PQ, the password will be 1PQ.

If you have left the property and did not provide a forwarding address, the password will be the last three characters of the Gateshead property postcode.

If your postal address is abroad or in the Republic of Ireland, the password will be the last three characters of the postcode for the property in Gateshead.
