Tuesday
Toddler time - Chopwell community centre
Toddler Time provides an opportunity for parents/carers to spend quality time with their toddlers. The sessions include songs, stories, rhymes, crafts and messy play. Activities delivered across the term help to support Childrens physical, social and emotional development as well as communication and language skills.

Baby time (0-2 years)
Baby Time provides an opportunity for parents/carers to spend quality time with their baby. Experienced staff are on hand to offer advice and support to parents/carers and facilitate music, rhymes and sensory play.

Wednesday
Tea and toast
Have a cuppa a bit of breakfast and a chat. With different professionals dropping in offering free advice if needed.

A walk in the woods
A wellbeing walk and talk in the woods, led by family hub staff. Open to all ages followed by a cuppa and biscuits in Chopwell library.

Brew and biscuits
Don't sit alone, make a trip to Chopwell Hub on Wednesday Afternoons!
As a community what better way to come together than over a cuppa, some biscuits and playing with your little ones together. Also, a chance to speak with different professionals who drop in, offering free advice if needed.

At Gateshead Family Hubs we value the voice of parents and carers, Family Voice stay and play provides an opportunity to have a cuppa and and provide your feedback and suggestions on all things Gateshead Family Hubs and beyond whilst your child plays and has fun.

Autism Information Hub
The Autism Information Hub is available to anyone with an interest in autism - parents/carers/family members, professionals, practitioners, or individuals with autism, with or without a diagnosis. For more details visit the Gateshead Autism Hubs website. Autism Parenting Support Group
Family voice
Are you Parent/ Carer who is passionate about the service we provide here at Gateshead Family Hubs? Why not get involved with our Family Voice group meetings to help us in shaping our service and have the opportunity to voice any suggestions you may have. Come along and enjoy a cuppa and refreshments. Children are also welcome to come along with parents and carers! There will also be incentives to all Parents and Carers who join us!
First Aid Skills
9 out of 10 parents don't know the basic first aid skills that could save their baby's life. The session will cover * how to perform an initial check on a baby or child * how to perform CPR * what to do if your baby is choking * what to do if your baby has been drowning. Our aim is to make parents and carers feel confident to stay calm and able to help a baby or child safely in an emergency. Booking is essential.

Toy Library
A range of developmental boxes that can be loaned for 4 weeks for £1
Monday, no family hub staff on site. Library staff are available 9.00-5.00
Tuesday, 9.00am to 4.30pm Please Note- Tuesday AM you will find our Hub staff in Chopwell Community centre.
Wednesday, 9.00am to 4.30pm
Thursday - Thursday AM you will find out hub staff in Chopwell Primary school sports hall. There are no Family Hub staff on site on Thursday afternoon. Library staff are available 9.00-5.00
