Performance Management Framework
The Council recognises that effective performance management is critical to the success of a well-run local authority.
Performance management involves the Council understanding and acting on performance issues at each level of the organisation, from individuals, teams, services through to the organisation itself. As well as involving performance measurement systems and processes, performance management is about managing people and the way people within the Council work together.
The key is that performance measurement is NOT performance management and there is a need to move from measuring performance to a total performance culture.
