Community furniture charity supporting Gateshead residents to live safe, comfortable home lives through the provision of low cost, second hand furniture.
Foundations furniture offers low cost, pre-loved furniture for all with additional discounts for households facing hardship who also live in Gateshead. Delivery is swift and usually no more than three to five days after purchase.
We also provide new furniture and white goods with the option to pay weekly via the NEFirst Credit Union for which you can apply in store with us in our showroom. The weekly payment option is saving households hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of pounds by avoiding high interest, weekly payment schemes on the high street.
Rather than dispose of your unwanted but usable household furniture, white goods and electricals, contact us on 0191 4778337 and donate them instead. We offer free collection of household items which helps our charity to support people in the area who are struggling to maintain safe, comfortable home lives.
Foundations Furniture has been helping local people of Gateshead since 1996. We are based in the heart of the Teams community but support people borough-wide. We specialise in offering excellent customer service, in a safe, welcoming and confidential environment in our showroom. Each year we help around 660 Gateshead household in need and collect around 85 tonnes of unwanted, usable furniture free of charge from local people, diverting it from landfill.
We also offer volunteers an opportunity to learn new skills in our warehouse and delivery service whilst supporting their local community.
Open every weekday between 9am and 4.30pm, closed weekends and bank holidays. No appointment is necessary.
