Customer Service Strategy

Gateshead Council is taking an integrated approach to improvement and culture change. As part of this, it has identified five medium-term strategic objectives.

The Council's Customer Service Strategy is key to achieving two of these objectives:

  • Better Access to Services For All;
  • Service Excellence.

Achieving continuous and step change improvement requires focus and commitment. It also requires understanding of our local context, residents' requirements and aspirations. The Council's vision for customer service in the future is one which achieves this and takes us 'Beyond excellence'
