Request an additional bin
If you would like an additional bin, you can request one from our waste team. This is subject to eligibility.
To get an additional household bin or an additional recycling bin, you will need to show evidence that:
- there are six or more people in the property
- the property needs to dispose of clinical waste
- someone at the property is a foster carer
You will need to pay a delivery fee if your request is accepted.
You can only have one additional household bin or one additional recycling bin - you can not have both.
If you have a garden waste bin, you can order as many additional bins as you want. You do not need to provide a reason or evidence.
If we approve your request, you will need to pay the following fee for each bin you have requested.
|Type of bin||Fee|
|Household bin||£36 per bin|
|Garden waste bin||£36 per bin|
|Recycling bin||£26 per bin|
We will ask you for the following information when requesting an additional bin:
- your address
- what type of additional bin you want
- why you need an additional bin
- your contact details
- your payment details (if you've requested garden waste bins)
Please be aware that bins may be reconditioned and not brand new. All bins delivered will be clean and in a good working order.
Alternatively, you can call our customer service team on 0191 433 7000.
If you have requested an additional household or recycling bin, the report will be passed to our waste team for approval.
They will be in touch to request evidence of why you need an additional bin.
If approved, you will need to take payment and book a delivery slot. We can do this by sending a link by email or our customer service team can call you back. We'll ask your preference during the approval process.
If you have requested additional garden waste bins, you should have already made payment and booked a delivery slot.
We will deliver your bins between 7:30am and 3:30pm on the given date.
