Roadworks warning for A694 at Winlaton Mill

sharpened image

Likely traffic delays while emergency resurfacing works are carried out on the A694 between Spa Well Road and Winlaton Mill.

The road surface between Lockhaugh and Winlaton Mill deteriorated badly during the recent freezing weather and although the worst of the potholes have been patched the road surface needs to be completely replaced as a more permanent solution.

Works are due to begin Thursday 18 February and are expected to last until Sunday 21 February. The resurfacing work will require lane closures with temporary traffic lights and this is likely to lead to some short delays for motorists.

We're hurrying to make a start on the works so that they can be completed before the end of the half-term holidays when traffic flows are expected to increase again.

Motorists are advised to leave more time for their journeys or seek alternative routes while the resurfacing work is underway.

We apologise for an inconvenience these emergency works may cause.
