New, additional or replacement bins

Keep your bin in a secure place on your property and always return it to that place after it has been emptied.

Replacement and new bins

If your bin is damaged or stolen you can order a replacement.

If you have moved house or moved into a new build property and bins have not been left or supplied you will need to order new bins.

The cost is the same for both replacement and new bins.

Requesting additional bins

The residential standard household bin and recycling bin is 240 litres. This is to cover a family of up to five residents.

If you have six or more living in the household you may be entitled to additional bins. Your request will be reviewed by an officer, who may ask for evidence.

You can order as many additional garden waste bins as you want without the need for a review, as long you are eligible for collections.

Requesting a different bin size

You can request to swap a 240 litre bin for a smaller 140 litre bin.

For single persons and sheltered housing for the elderly we supply a smaller 140 litre bin.

You can request to swap a smaller 140 litre bin for a larger 240 litre bin but justification is required such as evidence of medical needs.
