Council to host question and answer session on town centre traffic changes

logo

We will be hosting an online question and answer session on Thursday 20 August 2020 at 4pm about the current traffic changes in Gateshead town centre.

The session will be held via Microsoft Teams and will be fully interactive allowing members of the public to take part by asking a question to some of highways officers responsible for the road network in Gateshead.

The session will be chaired by Gateshead Council leader Martin Gannon and will also be streamed live on YouTube, so even more people can see and hear the discussion. All of the questions posed to Councillor Gannon and the highways officers will be from members of the public.

Questions are now being invited from people wishing to take part in the on-screen discussion. Questions should be as short as possible and should be emailed to towncentreqanda@gateshead.gov.uk by 12noon tomorrow, Tuesday 18 August.

We will then work with someone who has petitioned against the changes to ensure a fair and balanced selection of questions are asked and to ensure that the same question isn't asked time after time by different people. Successful applicants will be notified on Wednesday 19 August.

Details of how people can watch the session will be published on our social media platforms shortly.
