Google is offering free digital lessons in Gateshead

Google is delivering digital sessions for residents and businesses

Google's mobile training hub is coming to Gateshead on 15, 16, 17 and 25 July.  

Google Digital Garage provides free digital skills training and personal coaching sessions. It was launched three years ago and has visited more than 500 locations and trained more than 300,000 people.

The bespoke training courses offered include: CV building, staying safe online, social media strategy, knowing your business with data and building a digital marketing plan.

Rachel Burdis, Tech Specialist at Gateshead Council said: "Basic digital skills are required almost everywhere now but to achieve higher paid jobs, specific digital skills are required. For businesses to grow and unlock new opportunities, skills around digital marketing, harnessing of data are becoming increasingly important. The council believes that everyone should be able to benefit from the opportunities that technology brings, and we're committed to giving people the skills they need to grow their confidence, career or business."
