The Children and Young People’s Service in Central Gateshead is made up of Sure Start Children’s Centres, Connexions Gateshead, Youth and Community Learning, Youth Crime Prevention and the Play Development Service. These services are delivered from a range of community locations in Bensham and Saltwell, Deckham, Bede and the town centre. The integrated team has strong working relationships with a number of key partners, including schools, SMART, St Chad’s Community Project, Gateshead Visible Ethnic Minority Support Group, Gateshead Muslim Centre, Gateshead Bangladeshi Association and Northumbria Police.
The Integrated team work closely with the Joseph Swan School extended cluster and all Central primary schools.
