The Council in association with Nexus provides bus shelters in Gateshead. A priority list of sites for new and replacement shelters has been agreed as part of a programme of Borough wide improvements.
In addition the Council has an agreement with Adshel Limited for the provision and maintenance of a number of advertising shelters in the Borough.
