How to pay a Penalty Charge Notice
Payments made no later than the last day of the period of 14 days beginning with the date on which the Penalty Charge Notice is served will have a 50% discount applied.
You can pay a Penalty Charge Notice by any of the following methods:-
1. Online
Payment can be made online using your Debit/Credit card:

Select the option for Miscellaneous Payments

Select one of the Parking Fine options from the Service drop down list
2. By Post
Payment may be made by crossed cheque or postal order made payable to Gateshead Council. Write the Penalty Charge Number and your address on the reverse of the cheque/postal order. DO NOT SEND CASH
Send your payment, together with the completed payment slip in the envelope provided to Finance and ICT Services, Civic Centre, Regent Street, Gateshead, NE8 1HH.
3. By Telephone
Credit or debit card payments can be made by telephone on (0191) 433 3671 or (0191) 433 3646 or (0191) 433 3155 quoting the Penalty Charge number and your card details.
4. In Person
Payment may be made in person with cash, cheque, credit or debit card at the Civic Centre, at the above address, between 8.45 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Monday to Thursday and 8.45 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Friday.
