Apply for a Car Park Permit
A number of annual permit scheme have been established in the car parks supporting the Town Centre and Gateshead Quays area. The permits offer a substantial saving for drivers who use these car parks on a regular basis. The cost of an annual permit and period of eligibility vary depending on its location.

This is a temporary car park. Gateshead Council have recently marketed the land for redevelopment. Due to the uncertain future of these car parks, we can only offer the permit on a rolling 6-month basis.

Permit Scheme
The permit schemes run from the 01 April to the 31 March of the following year. The actual cost of a permit will be charged on a pro-rata/month basis. For example, if you applied for a permit for the Heworth North Car Park commencing in July then you would be charged £420/12 (months) x 9 (remaining months) = £315
