The records of all births, deaths and marriages that occurred in Gateshead are held from 1837 onwards at Gateshead Register Office.

Cheques should be made payable to the SUPERINTENDENT REGISTRAR. You can also pay by credit and debit card.
If the register is still in use the cost of the certificate is only £3.50 as no search is required. This only applies to the day of registration.
