Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a formal and dignified non-religous ceremony to celebrate the birth of a child or to welcome an adopted or step-child into a new family. The child or children can be of any age. Naming ceremonies have no legal status.

Gateshead Council does not offer naming ceremonies but you may wish to contact other Local Authorities in the area to see if they provide such a service. Alternatively you may wish to visit the following websites.
