Telephone Lifestyle Survey
Telephone lifestyle survey gets underway
People living in Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland are being asked to take part in a survey about their lifestyle habits with a view to improving the health of the local population.
The telephone survey is being carried out on behalf of NHS South of Tyne and Wear among a random sample of almost 10,000 adults. Questions will cover aspects of lifestyle, such as diet, smoking and alcohol consumption, which have an important bearing on health.
The survey beginson Friday 1st February and will continue into March. The results will be used to help people to improve their health through, for example, giving up smoking, or being more physically active.
