Under the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000, all local authorities have to produce a Race Equality Scheme and revise the scheme every 3 years.
Gateshead's first Race Equality Scheme was published in May 2002. It has now been revised and updated and covers the period 2005-2008 and details:
