Children's Centre Volunteers

Would you like the chance to learn new skills, gain training, help others and your local community? By becoming a Children's Centre Volunteer we can offer you this and much more.

By becoming a Children’s Centre Volunteer you will be supporting staff in a range of groups and activities whilst having an active role to play in your local Children's Centre. It does not matter how much or how little time you are able to give. From one hour to five days a week there is no limit to the amount of volunteering opportunities on offer. You can;

  • Support staff in various groups and activities
  • Have an active role to play in your local Children's Centre
  • Support new parents accessing the Centre for the first time
  • Decide how you want to volunteer with an activity that suits you

We can help you to learn new skills, feel valued in your local community and seek employment opportunities as a direct result of volunteering.

For further information or to request an application pack to be posted to you please contact one of our Children's Centres or Simon Wake on 0191 433 5126. Alternatively, you can print the application form attached, complete and return it in the post to Tyneview Centre, Rose Street, Teams, Gateshead, NE82LS.

This Children’s Centre Volunteering programme actively supports the Get Britain Working Agenda.
