Children's Centre Volunteers

Would you like the chance to learn a new skill, gain training and help other? By becoming a Children's Centre Volunteer we can offer you this and much more.

Volunteer in your Children's Centre to support staff in various groups and activities, have an active role to play in your local Children's Centre and support new parents accessing the centre for the first time. It does not matter how much or how little time you are able to give. From one hour to five days a week there is no limit to the amount of volunteering opportunties on offer. We can help you to gain a qualification, learn new skills, fell valued in your local community and find work experience with Gateshead Council

  • Support staff in various groups and activities
  • Have an active role to play in your local Children's Centre
  • Support new parents accessing the Centre for the first time.
  • Decide how you want to volunteer with an activity that suits you.
