Gateshead Volunteers' Month grant

Gateshead Volunteers' Month has taken place each June since 2013. It provides an opportunity for community organisations to:

  • celebrate the positive contribution made by existing volunteers
  • recruit more volunteers
  • enable local people to contribute to their community
  • confirm Gateshead’s reputation as a national leader for volunteering.

To help support your activities during Gateshead Volunteers’ Month, we have £10,000 fund. This is to provide small grants to enable volunteer and community sector groups to organise or take part in events to:

  • raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering
  • celebrate the positive contribution made by existing volunteers
  • recruit new volunteers
  • improve health and wellbeing
  • create capacity through volunteering
  • deliver the aims of the Gateshead Volunteer Plan
  • celebrate The Great Get Together Initiative 17-18 June 2017

The closing date for applications is 28 May 2017. Applications can be made requesting up to £300.

Funds are limited; once the allocated funding is awarded, the programme will close.

Visit Community Foundation and complete the Gateshead Volunteers' Month application form.
