Parents in Power
Parents In Power is your local parent/carer forum. Our aim is to empower parents/carers of children with SEN/Learning difficulties and/or Disabilities to be confident and competent in working side by side with service providers to improve services for disabled children and their families.
We also support parents/carers to talk through any incidents of Hate Crime, and point them in the right direction to get much needed help and support either through the police or through the Arch Programme.

Gateshead Access Panel
Gateshead Access Panel is a charity and social enterprise, with a pan-disability background. Our initial aim was to empower and develop skills among disabled people in Gateshead. Supported by National Lottery funding, we have trained people to audit physical environments for accessibility and provided disability equality training. We have continued to support disabled people to obtain access to services and facilities, to gain transferable skills through volunteering, and to achieve their rights through supported advocacy and mentoring.

Your Voice Counts
We believe in equality, rights and real choices in life for everyone
Our service should be of high quality, easy to use, open, honest and independent from other organisations
It is important to us that people who use our service are involved in guiding our work and deciding what we should do
